The greatest freedom is just stopping and looking at a motif.....perfect silence, watching an effect move slowly through nature. It was very dry and the grey sky was very welcoming on this day.

Acrylic on unprimed Arches, 7.5 x 9.25. I was driving down a country road I hadn't tried yet and was impressed by this very steep hill rising into a hazy August sky.

Remembering August

Sometimes, when I don't want to deal with the day that's here, I'll think back to another one....the horse pasture across the way.
