Knowing the inevitabilities gets annoying, so something like this is a chance to oppose that, even though I know I'd still repeat a lot of the habits in the process. Acrylic on matteboard, 8 x 10 inches.
Bridget, in this type of painting, I usually try stop at a place that has some surprise for me. The step before seemed like other paintings I'd made, so I kept going.

ReplyDeleteThat's a good way of stopping - with me its usually when I don't know what to do next :>)). I'll remember the "surprise" bit and try to use that idea.
